Chapter 10: The Space Is Full
Tang Xiaoman burst out laughing.
This time she didn’t hang up immediately.
Instead she shot back coldly.
“You narcissistic idiot—go to hell.”
“…What did you say?” Gu Heng snapped.
“I said go to hell, you moron.”
She hung up and instantly blocked the number.
Fubao began barking furiously.
He recognized that man’s voice.
He wanted to bite him!
That was the bastard who convinced his owner to abandon him.
“Easy, Fubao,” Tang Xiaoman said, turning back to soothe him. “I’ll never hurt you for that scumbag again. Never.”
Fubao’s eyes grew misty.
At last, he had his owner’s promise.
—
Meanwhile, in a **VIP ward at a private hospital**, Su Ke lay wrapped like a mummy after being granted medical bail.
Gu Heng had also been released on bail.
It had taken immense money and favors from both the Gu and Su families to secure their release.
But **Shu Jia** was still locked in the police station.
No one wanted to spend that kind of money on a mere assistant.
Su Ke lay in bed, raging helplessly as he cursed Tang Xiaoman.
Gu Heng and the Su family stood nearby.
Tang Xiaoman’s voice suddenly rang from Gu Heng’s phone recording:
“You narcissistic idiot—go to hell!”
“I said go to hell, you moron!”
If they hadn’t heard it themselves, no one would have believed those words came from Tang Xiaoman.
Even Su Ke forgot to keep cursing.
Gu Heng’s face alternated between red and pale.
“Has Tang Xiaoman been possessed?”
Su Rou clenched her delicate fingers, tears shimmering in her eyes.
“Big sister must have misunderstood my relationship with you… that’s why she’s acting so extreme.”
Su Ke muttered in disbelief, “Wasn’t she always Gu Heng’s biggest simp? How did she suddenly grow a spine?”
Then he remembered her lightning-fast movements and lethal strikes from yesterday.
A chill crept down his spine.
Liu Yafang scolded him sharply.
“She’s still your sister—and Gu Heng’s fiancée. No matter how outrageous she acts, you should show some respect for your father’s and Gu Heng’s sake.”
Su Ke exploded with anger.
“Respect? She’s nothing! Just because she suddenly learned to fight doesn’t mean I’m afraid of her. Next time I see her, I’ll set my dogs on her again—”
Then he remembered his dog was already dead.
His hatred burned even hotter.
Su Cheng was furious too.
“That ungrateful daughter has gone mad! If we don’t teach her a lesson now, next she’ll be killing her father and husband!”
Gu Heng’s temples throbbed.
“Ah Heng, she is your fiancée after all,” Su Rou said gently. “You should forgive her.”
Gu Heng clenched his fists.
“I’m calling off the engagement.”
Su Ke snorted.
“Just breaking it off? That’s letting her off too easily.”
A cruel glint flashed in Gu Heng’s eyes.
“I’ll make her pay.”
Once she was no longer his fiancée, he wouldn’t have to hold back.
Then he would ruin her reputation and destroy her completely.
—
Meanwhile, Zhou Yichen proved once again why he had been **special forces**.
His efficiency was astonishing.
When Tang Xiaoman arrived with Fubao at the newly rented site, she found it perfectly suited to her needs.
It was an abandoned **five-story club building** not far from Tianlai Villa.
There were wide open spaces for training, and numerous private rooms with bathrooms that could serve as dormitories.
Zhou Yichen had also rented **three seven-seat vans** for transportation.
Tang Xiaoman praised his work enthusiastically.
He responded by handing her a long receipt.
“Site rent: 160,000 yuan for half a month. Contract signed. Vehicle rentals, cleaning staff, training equipment, dorm setup, surveillance installation, deposits… total cost: 620,000. We’ve paid 470,000 so far. The rest will be settled once everything is completed.”
Tang Xiaoman gave him a thumbs-up.
“Money well spent. You understand how urgent this is for me.”
Speed mattered more than savings.
Zhou Yichen’s decisive style suited her perfectly.
He returned the bank card, but she waved it away.
“Keep the remaining money. If anything else is needed, buy it and show me the receipts later.”
“Woof!”
Fubao barked loudly.
Zhou Yichen looked down.
“What a fine dog.”
“This is my dog, Fubao,” Tang Xiaoman said with a smile. “Fubao, this is Zhou Yichen, the captain of my bodyguards. You’ll be seeing a lot of him.”
“Woof!”
Fubao wagged his tail happily.
Tang Xiaoman introduced him to the other five bodyguards as well.
Fubao sniffed their hands, memorizing their scents.
“Woof!”
She handed the leash to Zhou Yichen.
“Train the dog along with the bodyguards. When new teammates arrive, introduce them to him.”
As she turned to leave again, Zhou Yichen stopped her.
“Wait.”
She raised an eyebrow.
“You should take a bodyguard with you when you go out.”
She had hired so many but still went out alone?
Tang Xiaoman smiled brightly.
“See? That’s what makes you a good captain.”
Most bodyguards avoided extra work.
But Zhou Yichen had real responsibility.
“Which one do you want to take?” he asked.
She waved him off.
“No need. Train them first. When the rest arrive, bring them here.”
She had supplies to stockpile—bringing a bodyguard along would only slow her down.
Zhou Yichen studied her silently, then nodded.
—
Tang Xiaoman continued her shopping spree.
From an outdoor store she bought **water purification tablets, filters, generators, combat knives, mountaineering boots, tactical jackets, and backpacks**.
From a water sports store she bought **ten motorboats, drones, diving suits, oxygen tanks, bulletproof vests, and radios**.
The shop owner was ecstatic—she was basically a walking god of wealth.
After loading the truck, she returned to the garage and stored everything in her space.
The two-bedroom unit inside was now packed **floor to ceiling**.
Even the kitchen and bathroom were nearly full.
Once the ten motorboats arrived—
Her space wouldn’t be able to hold anything else.
Tang Xiaoman finally realized something.
She had to move some supplies to the **new training base** immediately.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have room left to continue stockpiling.
